Hilda Mabel Stocking was born on 1st October 1907 in a village called Ootacamunda, in the Blue Mountains of India, the youngest of five children. She later moved to Madras where she was a Matron of a 1000 bed hospital. Hilda married James Hogg on 11th February 1935 in Mangalore, South of India and has one daughter (Heather), three grandchildren (Debra, Mark (deceased) and Beverley) and three great grandchildren (Kimberley, Jordan and Jessica). In 1967, Hilda and her family moved to Middlesex in England and then later to Australia in 1983 where she now resides. The year 2007 marked Hilda's one hundredth birthday. Family, friends and relatives, both from locally and overseas joined Hilda to celebrate this remarkable achievement and offer their heartfelt good wishes and congratulations. Herein is a pictorial account of this happy occasion marking the 100th year of Hilda Mabel Hogg. |
